What is TipBX?
TipBX is a cashless tipping app for the hospitality community. Tippers tip servers, bartenders, valets, housekeepers, salon pros, and other service workers right from the TipBX app: find who's on shift, let Bluetooth find who's nearby, or scan the worker's QR code. The tip goes straight to the worker's own account.
Do tippers need the app?
Yes. Tippers download the free TipBX app and sign up. Then find who's on shift, scan the worker's QR code in the app (like Venmo), or let Bluetooth find who's nearby. Slide the coin or type the exact amount, then press and hold to pay.
How do workers get their tips?
Each worker has their own verified TipBX account. Workers can move their tips to their own debit card or checking account, and we're designing cash-out to be as fast as possible. Exact timing and any costs will be published before launch.
Does the money go through my employer?
No. Tips never pass through the venue. Venues can optionally register for table QR codes, tip pools, and reporting, but the money goes to each worker's own account.
Who handles the money?
TipBX is a financial technology company, not a bank. Payment services are provided by our licensed partners, and each tip goes to the worker's own verified account.
What does it cost?
